Annika Banfield is a Swedish actor, director and producer.
After training as an actress in the 70´ she moved to England to pursue her acting career. Returning to Sweden in the 90´s, she took up a career as a motivational speaker, working with other artists and actors. Since then she has returned to the theatre and has, during the last five years, been in several plays and also worked as a film actress.
Annika has the ability to play old women, troubled by physical and mental illness, as well as intensive extroverts, successful businesswomen, loving wives and grandmothers and anything in between. She likes characters with many layers , finding it exciting to dig deeper in to their personalities.
Annika has a very positive attitude, always bringing her cheerfulness to set while she, at the same time, is thoroughly professional and reliable.
Annika is also an accomplished writer with 15 books published and 6 plays staged in Sweden and England. She has also made an awarded documentary film.
