Jonas Wolcher, also known as Mr J Zombie, is a Swedish cult film producer, director, and writer based in Northern Bohuslän. With over 30 years of experience in the film industry, he has been active since the mid-1990s. Jonas is the creative force behind Ranrikestudios, where he serves as a producer and director, specializing in fantasy, action, horror, sci-fi, and drama. The studio, led by CEO Helen Brunestål, is known for producing films, music videos, commercials, and micro-dramas in vertical format.
Jonas is best known for his work on films such as Die Zombiejäger, Dragonetti: The Ruthless Contract Killer, Cannibal Fog, Hermit: Monster Killer, Precision, and Root of Darkness. He has also directed and produced numerous music videos and commercials. His work is characterized by a strong visual style, innovative storytelling, and a focus on micro-dramas that address sensitive topics rather than traditional soap operas.
Jonas is also the founder of Dino Publishing JW and the creator and host of Jonas Wolchers Videotek, a platform for in-depth interviews and discussions with cult filmmakers, actors, and genre legends.
